Happy 60th Birthday Mom!!!

Wow mom celebrated her 60th birthday.
The kids helped her blow out the candles
on her cake. We all are so thankful for
you and love you so much mom!

Christmas day

Well we finally made it to the big
day. The kids got up early Christmas
morning and came downstairs to tons
of gifts under the tree. We had such
a great time watching them open everything.
Santino couldn't get to it all fast enough.
Julie was especially happy with the new
Dora bike and vaccum. Santino loves his
Batcave. The rest of the day we just sat
around and later had a turkey dinner that
was sooooo good. It was a really nice relaxing
day.

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve was at grandma's as usual
it was fun, we ate, talked, laughed and
opened presents.Santino was sick but he
managed to have fun anyway. Uncle Greg
tried to get him to tell him what was in
his package but Santino didn't budge, although
when my Uncle tried to bribe him with the
Twisties I thought "It's all over" but no
he didn't tell him, what a good boy. This
was the first time some of us got to see
our newest member of the family, baby Kenny.
He's so cute, Julie just loved him!

Our gingerbread house

This year we did a different house.
It was pretty easy but of course all
Julie wanted to do was eat all the candy.
Santino helped a lot but he gave up and
decided to eat the candy too. I think
it turned out cute. Julie seems very
proud of it even though she did nothing
to help HaHa

Lowe's Workshop

Sonny wanted to go to the Lowe's kids
workshop so we went and he made a gingerbread
house. It's so cute, they give them an apron,
goggles, hammer and tools blueprints and they
actually make the item themselves. I think he
liked being able to hammer in the nails. It
was a fun little FREE activity, we can't wait
till the next one.

Wow it's real snow?

There was a little Christmas snow in Old Town.
We took the kids to Imagination Workshop for
some holiday fun. We all got to play in the
snow, eat some s'mores and get really, really
cold. It just made us even more anxious to get
to the real snow up in the mountains this winter.
Hopefully in a week or so we will.

Wow it's real snow?

Leave me some love people....
I'm not quite sure who's checking
the blog, so can you please leave
me some comments. So far Tanya's
the only one who's left any.
Thanks, and love to ya all.

It's Tamale time.

Tuesday Grandma came up to Temecula to show
my friend Rachel and I how to make tamales.
It started with the chile and the meat.
And then on to the masa. It's pretty easy once
you get the hang of it but we made a lot!!!
I think Rachel did a good job since it was her
first time, grandma wasn't too hard on her.
Whenever grandma's around it's always fun...

All our dreams can come true, if we have
the courage to pursue them.

Cookies with Santa!

The kids went to visit Santa and really
thought it was cool. Santino for some reason
is really into it this year. I've told him
the whole truth about him but he said he
really believes in him. You could tell he
was shy to sit on his lap but he did it and
told him what he wanted for Christmas. Afterwards
Julie took her turn, when Santa asked what she'd
like she turned and pointed to the candy canes.
The kids later got cookies and Santino drew Santa
a picture and went back inside to give it to him.
They got a thrill out of this.

I just LOVE Christmas

Isn't this just the best time of year,
especially the cold weather.

What a fun evening

The kids really had a great time seeing
all the Christmas lights and activities.
It really brought back a lot of childhood
memories, especially seeing the nativity
scene and Santa's sleigh. Santino loved
seeing Rudolph's bright red nose leading
Santa up into the air. The weather was cold
but nice, we actually were able to wear our
jackets. Tasting the food at the houses of
hospitality is a treat, both kids loved getting
gingerbread men and hot chocolate. While waiting
to see some performer's we met a very sweet man
named Ed, he was an ex photography teacher and
he chatted with us for several hours and gave me
some good tips, he took some great shots of Julie
and I. As the kids danced and ran around we made a
new friend. As the evening wore down we headed back
to our car and the kids twirled under the man made
snow and rode the brightly decorated train, Julie was
so excited. We had a perfect day, I'm so blessed in
so many ways, simply blessed.
